I remember the first time I heard the sample BGMs in the site, I legit got teary eyed because the melodies in each bgm really tells its own story.

The one before was Heligenstadt no Uta’s OST. This paragraph is just me gushing about the bgm tracks in this game you may skip this The last game I felt even a fraction this impressed was Piofiore no Banshou’s OST. I’m curious to hear how my friends and others think of these op and ed songs. These are just my personal image of the songs in this game. While the salvation ed song “Junpaku no Kyuusai” is like finally finding “peace” after all the sacrifices made to achieve said “peace”. The despair ed song “Shuuen no Yume” is like accepting the despair even though you know its wrong for the sake of being with the one you love. The despair and salvation ending songs too are really impactful. The song is kinda like entering crazy despair and you’re not even aware of it due to a twisted love. Like sure it may not be what I expected it to be but it certainly gave off its own unique image of what to expect of the game. But after listening and watching the opening so many times, it kinda grew on me. I certainly didn’t expect a fast-paced upbeat song like this. Kinda like the openings in Black Wolves Saga.

Maybe because the art is by Yomi-sensei and the obviously dark theme, I expected a Rejet-like song? Like a somewhat slow, moody but aggressive song. Don’t get me wrong, the song itself “Licorice no Ai” is a very catchy song to listen to but I initially thought it didn’t match to atmosphere(?) of the game. I actually didn’t like the opening song when I first heard it when it came out. I did made this before after thoughts on what I think of the characters in this game if anyone is curious. Under the watchman’s guidance, the girl will approach the truth of the “various mysteries of death” that haunts this country, whether she likes it or not… Without knowing that despair is the fate that awaits those possessed by the god of death. Just as she is about to end her life in regret, a mysterious man who calls himself the “watchman of death” appears before her. Meanwhile, there was a girl known as the “god of death,” as everyone she was involved with ended up unhappy.

Those who live forever through memory download are known as “relivers” and continue to resist their short lives. And after many years of research, a system was created-a “memory download” system where the body that dies by age 23 is discarded, and only the memories live on. The people of the country lament and oppose their short-lived fates. And a country possessed by the god of death. It has come to be called Arpecheur, where death arrives equally unto all people. Surrounded by the sea and black flowers of misfortune called Licorise Nowargue, humans in this country are born with a “death curse” that leads to death by age 23. I decided to skip over my thoughts on each characters ( since I will will obviously procrastinate when writing about each characters Here is the excerpt from Gematsu about the story summary of Shuuen no Virche.Īrpecheur is a small country in western Europe. And because I yet to can really rant with friends since most of friends are still playing so I could only rant to myself here haha. I could have replay my fave routes in Virche to pass time but I kind of want to savor this feeling of happy post depression you get after completing a good game. I can’t draw as I planned to and I don’t feel like playing the next otoge in my backlog so I was only able to write out my thoughts in phone in bed when I can’t sleep. I actually wasn’t planning to write a review for Shuuen no Virche but I was kind of stuck in bed sick the past few days.
